MTV Roadies Season 18 arrived as a major reset for the long-running reality show. Instead of the familiar gang-leader battle, the 2022 edition took the competition to South Africa, introduced Sonu Sood as host and paired former Roadies with new contestants. The change gave the season a different rhythm: success depended not only on individual strength and strategy, but also on how well each buddy pair worked together under pressure.
Titled Roadies: Journey in South Africa, the season ultimately produced a Roadies first. Ashish Bhatia and Nandini G became joint winners, while Jashwanth Bopanna and Yukti Arora finished as the joint first runners-up. Here is a complete look at the Season 18 winner, runner-up, host, contestants, release date and format.

MTV Roadies Season 18 Winner
Ashish Bhatia and Nandini G won MTV Roadies Season 18. The finale aired on 10 July 2022, and their victory made them the first pair to share the Roadies title. Ashish was already known to Roadies viewers from Roadies: Real Heroes, while Nandini entered Season 18 as a new contestant.
Their win fitted the central idea of the season. Roadies 18 was built around buddy pairs, bringing together former Roadies and new participants rather than dividing contestants into the traditional gangs. Ashish and Nandini survived that partnership-based format and finished ahead of the other finalist pairs to take the title.
MTV Roadies Season 18 Runner-up
Jashwanth Bopanna and Yukti Arora finished as the joint first runners-up of Roadies: Journey in South Africa. Yukti had previously appeared in Roadies: Real Heroes, while Jashwanth was one of the newer participants in the 2022 season.
Kevin Almasifar and Moose Jattana were listed as the second runners-up. This meant the finale reflected the season’s pair-based structure rather than producing the usual single winner and single runner-up seen in many earlier editions.
MTV Roadies Season 18 Host
Sonu Sood hosted MTV Roadies Season 18. His arrival marked a major change for the franchise because Season 18 was the first Roadies season without Rannvijay Singha. Sonu Sood became the central on-screen figure guiding contestants through the South Africa journey and its tasks, eliminations and twists.
Abhimanyu Raghav and Vishakha Fulsugne were featured as Roadies Insiders. Unlike the gang-based seasons, there were no competing gang leaders in Season 18. The focus instead remained on the buddy pairs and their performance through the journey.
MTV Roadies Season 18 Contestants Name

MTV Roadies Season 18 Release Date
MTV Roadies Season 18 premiered on MTV India on 8 April 2022. The season concluded on 10 July 2022 and consisted of 34 episodes. Its official title was Roadies: Journey in South Africa, reflecting the international setting that shaped much of the competition.
What Was Different About Roadies Season 18?
Season 18 moved away from the gang-leader format that had defined Roadies for several years. Former Roadies were paired with new contestants as buddies, and those partnerships became central to the competition. The edition also brought bikes back into the Roadies journey and shifted the show to South Africa for its main adventure setting.
The structural changes also affected the finale. Because contestants competed as buddy pairs, the season ended with two winners instead of one. Ashish Bhatia and Nandini G took the title together, creating a result that remains unique in the Roadies winners list.
