MTV Roadies is an Indian youth reality show that mixes travel, physical challenges, strategy, teamwork and eliminations. Contestants are divided into competitive groups and pushed through demanding tasks that test strength, confidence and the ability to perform under pressure. By the middle of the 2010s, the show had evolved from a simple road journey into a gang-based competition led by well-known Roadies personalities.
MTV Roadies Season 14, titled Roadies Rising, was one of the strongest examples of that format. The season premiered on 25 February 2017 and concluded on 22 July 2017. Shweta Mehta from Neha Dhupia’s gang won the title, while Baseer Ali from Prince Narula’s gang finished as runner-up. Gaelyn Mendonca presented the season, which featured 22 contestants and 26 episodes.
