Roadies changed noticeably in 2015. Instead of keeping the contestants in one loose competitive group, MTV Roadies X2: Your Road, Your Gang introduced the gang-leader format that would shape several later seasons. Contestants were attached to mentors, which meant every task and elimination carried an extra layer of team loyalty, rivalry and strategy.
The season eventually became a breakthrough chapter for Prince Narula. Competing from Rannvijay Singha’s gang, Prince reached the finale and defeated Gurmeet Rehal to take the Roadies title. Bani J served as the presenter, while Rannvijay Singha, Esha Deol, Karan Kundrra and Vijender Singh formed the judging and gang-leader lineup. Here is a complete look at the MTV Roadies Season 12 winner, runner-up, host, contestants, release date, format and finale details.

MTV Roadies Season 12 Winner
Prince Narula won MTV Roadies Season 12, also known as Roadies X2: Your Road, Your Gang. He was part of Rannvijay Singha’s gang and survived a season built around team competition, individual performance, vote-outs and changing alliances. Wikipedia lists Prince as the winner and Rannvijay Singha as the winning gang leader.
The title became an important early milestone in Prince Narula’s reality-TV career. His Roadies victory was followed by appearances in other major reality shows, but Season 12 remains the competition that first established him as a prominent name in the MTV reality space. Wikipedia lists Rs 5 lakh as the season’s prize money.
MTV Roadies Season 12 Runner-up
Gurmeet Rehal finished as the runner-up of Roadies X2. He represented Gang Vijender and reached the final battle against Prince Narula after surviving the long elimination process. Prince ultimately won the season, leaving Gurmeet in second place.
The Prince-versus-Gurmeet finale also highlighted the gang format introduced in Season 12: the last two contenders came from different mentor teams, so the finale was not only an individual contest but also a showdown between Rannvijay’s and Vijender Singh’s gangs.
MTV Roadies Season 12 Host
Bani J, credited by Wikipedia as Gurbani Judge, was the presenter of MTV Roadies Season 12. She had earlier become one of the franchise’s most recognisable former contestants and later moved into presenting duties. Her role in Roadies X2 connected the different stages of the competition while the gang leaders handled contestant selection, mentoring and strategy.
Rannvijay Singha is sometimes closely associated with the hosting identity of Roadies, but for Season 12 Wikipedia’s season-specific entry credits Bani J as the presenter. Rannvijay instead appears among the judges and gang leaders, and his gang eventually won the season through Prince Narula.
MTV Roadies Season 12 Gang Leaders and Judges
Roadies X2 featured four major names in its judging and gang-leader setup: Rannvijay Singha, Esha Deol, Karan Kundrra and boxer Vijender Singh. The introduction of gang leaders was a major format change for the franchise. Contestants no longer competed only as individuals; their mentor and gang identity also became part of the game.
Rannvijay’s gang produced the eventual champion Prince Narula, while Gurmeet Rehal reached the finale from Vijender Singh’s gang. This mentor-versus-mentor structure later became an important part of several Roadies seasons.
