MTV Roadies is built around a demanding idea: take young contestants out on the road and test them through travel, physical tasks, mental pressure, alliances and vote-outs. The early editions were especially adventure-driven, long before celebrity gang leaders became part of the format.
MTV Roadies Season 7, titled Roadies: 7 Deadly Sins & 1 Wild Safari, took the adventure beyond India and into Africa. It premiered on 8 November 2009 and ended on 25 June 2010. Anwar Syed won the title, while Zaid Bin Nazir was runner-up. Rannvijay Singha and Bani J presented the season.
