Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has been part of Indian television for more than three decades and remains one of the country’s most recognisable singing reality shows. The Hindi series began on Zee TV in 1995 as Sa Re Ga Ma, long before audience voting and mentor-based teams became standard features of music competitions. Over time, the format changed, new hosts and judges arrived, and several winners went on to build careers in playback singing and live music.

Unlike Bigg Boss or Khatron Ke Khiladi, however, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa does not have a perfectly simple season count. The early programme was organised through schedules, special finals and separate male and female winners. Later, the franchise added Challenge editions, Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, Li’l Champs and regional versions. For a clear reader-friendly list, the table below follows the commonly used chronology of the main senior Hindi competition and keeps Li’l Champs separate.

Shradha Mishra is the latest completed-season winner after winning the 2024-25 edition. The next Hindi season, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026, is scheduled to premiere on September 19, 2026, so no winner has been announced yet.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Winners by Season

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 1 Winner – Sanjeevani Bhelande

Sanjeevani Bhelande

Sanjeevani Bhelande is commonly listed as the first winner in senior-edition winner lists. The show began in 1995 with Sonu Nigam as its original presenter and relied heavily on expert judging rather than public voting. The archival format was more complex than today’s seasons: the first schedule also recognised Mukund Phansalkar as a male winner. That is why older sources sometimes show more than one champion for the same period.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 2 Winner – Nobina Mirjankar

Nobina Mirjankar is widely associated with the next early edition of the competition. As with the first year, the programme still followed the schedule-based format and could recognise separate male and female winners. Shivprasad Mallya also appears in the official early schedule records. These early editions focused strongly on sur, taal and classical grounding, with different music experts evaluating contestants across rounds.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 3 Winner – Mohammed Wakil

Mohammed Wakil became one of the best-known winners to emerge from the show’s early period. Archival records place him among the winners of the 1998 schedule alongside Sudeshna Ganguli. His association with ghazal and classical-influenced singing made him a notable name from the pre-public-voting era of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 4 Winner – Bela Shende

Bela Shende is another major singer identified with the show’s formative years. She won during the schedule era and later built a successful playback career across Hindi, Marathi and other Indian-language films. Older Sa Re Ga Ma records also show Parthiv Gohil as a co-winner in the same broader schedule period, reflecting the male-female winner structure used at the time.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 5 Winner – Archana Udupa

Archana Udupa is commonly placed next in the senior winners chronology. She became known for her strong classical base and later worked extensively as a playback and stage singer. The early competition was still far removed from the modern elimination-show structure, with expert musicians carrying much more weight in the final result.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 6 Winner – Shreya Ghoshal

Shreya Ghoshal is the most internationally recognised name to emerge from the early Sa Re Ga Ma era. She won a major 200th-episode mega final around 2000, with Jaswinder Singh also listed as a winner in the archival record. The platform helped bring her singing to wider attention before she became one of Indian cinema’s leading playback singers.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 7 Winner – Debojit Saha

The format changed dramatically with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005. Judges became mentors of different gharanas, and public voting became central to the competition. Debojit Saha won the edition, which is often treated as the beginning of the modern Sa Re Ga Ma Pa era. The shift made audience participation a much bigger part of deciding the champion.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 8 Winners – Aishwarya Nigam and Ujjaini Mukherjee

The 2006 edition, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Ek Main Aur Ek Tu, changed the competition into a duet contest. Aishwarya Nigam and Ujjaini Mukherjee won as a pair. The spin on the normal solo-singing format made teamwork, vocal compatibility and stage chemistry important alongside individual singing ability.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 9 Winner – Aneek Dhar

Aneek Dhar won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007. The season was hosted by Aditya Narayan and featured mentor teams led by prominent composers and singers. Aneek’s victory came during a period when the Challenge format had become one of Zee TV’s biggest music reality properties.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 10 Winner – Vaishali Mhade

Vaishali Mhade won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009. Aditya Narayan returned as host, while Himesh Reshammiya, Aadesh Shrivastava, Shankar Mahadevan and Pritam were part of the judging and mentoring panel. Vaishali later continued working as a singer, particularly in Marathi music and playback.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 11 Winner – Kamal Khan

Kamal Khan won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar in 2010. The edition featured Daler Mehndi, Vishal-Shekhar and Sajid-Wajid as judges. Kamal’s strong Sufi and Punjabi-influenced singing helped him stand out, and he later moved into professional playback singing.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 12 Winner – Jasraj Jayant Joshi

Jasraj Jayant Joshi won the 2012 senior edition of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Javed Ali hosted the season, while Shankar Mahadevan, Rahul Ram and Sajid-Wajid were among the judges. Jasraj defeated a group of finalists that included Shenaz Akhtar, Mohammad Aman and Vishwajeet Borwankar.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 13 Winner – Kushal Paul

Kushal Paul won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2016. The Kolkata singer competed under Team Pritam and finished ahead of the other finalists in the grand finale. He received the winner’s trophy along with a reported cash prize of Rs 25 lakh and a car. Sachin Kumar Valmiki finished as the first runner-up.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 14 Winner – Ishita Vishwakarma

Ishita Vishwakarma won the 2018-19 edition at the age of 16. The finale aired in January 2019, with Tanmay Chaturvedi finishing as first runner-up and Sonu Gill as second runner-up. Ishita received the trophy, Rs 5 lakh in prize money and a car after winning the public-supported competition.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 15 Winner – Neelanjana Ray

Neelanjana Ray won the edition that began in 2021 and concluded on March 6, 2022. Rajashri Bag was the first runner-up and Sharad Sharma finished second runner-up. Neelanjana received the trophy and Rs 10 lakh. Aditya Narayan hosted the season, while Himesh Reshammiya, Vishal Dadlani and Shankar Mahadevan were on the judging panel.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 16 Winner – Albert Kabo Lepcha

Albert Kabo Lepcha won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2023 after a three-month competition that concluded on November 26, 2023. Nishtha Sharma finished as first runner-up, while Ranita Banerjee was second runner-up. The season was hosted by Aditya Narayan and judged by Himesh Reshammiya, Anu Malik and Neeti Mohan.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Season 17 Winner – Shradha Mishra

Shradha Mishra won the 2024-25 edition, with the grand finale airing in January 2025. Subhashree Debnath finished as first runner-up and Ujwal Motiram Gajbhar as second runner-up. Shradha competed under the mentorship of Sachin-Jigar and received the trophy along with Rs 10 lakh in prize money. The season used a mentor-led format featuring Sachin-Jigar, Sachet-Parampara and Guru Randhawa.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2026 – Current Season

The next Hindi edition of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa premieres on September 19, 2026. Since the season has not started as of September 18, there is no winner or runner-up yet. Actor Shreyas Talpade is the host, while Kumar Sanu, Shankar Mahadevan, Neeti Mohan and Javed Ali form the judging panel. The season is being promoted under the theme Hindustan Ka Sangeetsthan and features a 360-degree stage with a large live orchestra. It will air on Zee TV and stream on ZEE5.

Why Older Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Winners Lists Can Look Different

The first decade of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was not structured like today’s reality-show seasons. The show used schedules, male and female categories, special mega finals and international editions.

Some websites therefore compress the early history into one winner per year, while archival lists show multiple winners from the same period.

From Challenge 2005 onward, the winner structure became much easier to follow because the competition used a more familiar single-title format with mentor teams, eliminations and public voting.

Li’l Champs is a separate children’s competition and should not be mixed into the main senior winners list. Regional editions in Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and other languages also have their own winners.
